Wisconsin – Anthem Expands BadgerCare Plus, SSI Plans to Seven Additional Counties

As of January 1st, Anthem expanded its BadgerCare Plus and Medicaid Supplemental Security Income (SSI) plans to seven counties in Wisconsin.
Medicaid members living in Ashland, Bayfield, Iron, Pepin, Price and Sawyer counties, now have access to Anthem Medicaid plans. On May 1st, Iowa county will also be added to the list, at which time Anthem will then become the only Medicaid managed care organization offering coverage in every Wisconsin county.
“Expanding into these additional counties will benefit the people of Wisconsin by ensuring Medicaid members, regardless of which county they live in, will have access to the high-quality health care services Anthem offers,” said Leon Lamoreaux, Anthem Medicaid Plan President in Wisconsin. “We look forward to providing services to new members in these counties and creating a positive impact on the health and well-being of area residents.”
