PQRS EHR Reporting Deadline Extended through March 31

CMS recently announced that the extended the deadline to submit eCQM data for the EHR Meaningful Use program until March 31.

In addition, CMS has also extended the deadline for eligible professionals (EPs), group practices, and their vendors through March 31 to submit 2016 EHR data for PQRS. NOTE: An Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) account with a “submitter role” will be required when submitting EHR quality data.

EPs and group practices that do not meet 2016 PQRS requirements will be subject to a 2% penalty on Medicare Part B services furnished in 2018.
