Harvard Pilgrim Change in Format of Newly Assigned Practitioner and Provider ID Numbers

Effective July 2017, Harvard Pilgrim will implement changes to the format of all newly assigned practitioner and provider identification numbers.

Harvard Pilgrim notes that this change applies only to the assignment of new identification numbers. All existing practitioner and provider ID numbers will remain the same.

Beginning late July, the insurer will no longer be issuing alphanumeric practitioner and provider ID numbers.

Harvard Pilgrim will assign practitioner and provider with new identification numbers that will contain numerals only. These newly created practitioner IDs will begin with 300000000, and the newly created provider IDs will begin with 200000000.
