NJ – DHS Updates Medicaid Fee-for-service Rates for State Plan Services

January 2017 ~

The New Jersey Department of Human Services’ (DHS) Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS) has posted a public notice of its intent to seek approval from CMS for amendments to the State Plan to reflect updates to state Medicaid fee-for-service rates, effective January 1.

As stated in the notice, the State Plan Amendment is to account for the routine, periodic adjustment of fees and the addition and/or deletion of procedure codes authorized by CMS to conform to Federal requirements. Because the DMAHS budget accounts for this, no increase or decrease in expenditures is expected.

Comments or inquiries may be submitted in writing by January 29, 2017 and the fee schedule can be found on the DHS fiscal agent’s website, under “rate and code information.”
