Report Shows State-By-State Healthcare Rankings

March 2017~

The U.S. News & World Report partnered with McKinsey & Company have released state-by-state healthcare rankings with Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Iowa topping the charts for best overall care.

The report relied on data from CMS and CDC to develop overall based on performance in healthcare quality, access, and public health and found the following states to be the top ten for best healthcare ratings:

  1. Hawaii
  2. Massachusetts
  3. Minnesota
  4. New Hampshire
  5. Iowa
  6. Vermont
  7. Rhode Island
  8. New Jersey
  9. Washington
  10. California

The states with the lowest healthcare ratings were found to be:

  1. Idaho
  2. Indiana
  3. Tennessee
  4. Wyoming
  5. Kentucky
  6. Louisiana
  7. West Virginia
  8. Alabama
  9. Oklahoma
  10. Mississippi
  11. Arkansas
