CMS Finalizes 2019 Medicare Clinical Lab Payment Determinations

CMS has released its final 2019 Medicare clinical laboratory fee schedule (CLFS) payment determinations for new and reconsidered clinical lab test codes.

The following list details the new and reconsidered codes for 2019, as well as CMS’ final determination and rationale for establishing the payment rate (crosswalking or gapfilling).

Reconsidered Test Codes

  1. 81326 PMP22 (peripheral myelin protein 22) (eg, Charcot-Marie-Tooth, hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies) gene analysis; known familial variant
