PQRS Claims – 6 Month Participation
If you have not yet submitted claims for the 2011 PQRS program, you may begin to participate in the six (6) month PQRS reporting period of service dates July 1 – December 31, 2011. All claims for these service dates must be submitted to Medicare by February 24, 2012.

If you successfully report PQRS measures for this time period, your incentive payment will be 1% of your total Medicare allowable charges submitted for service dates July 1, 2011– December 31, 2011.
Avoid the eRx Payment Adjustment for 2013

June 30th was the service date deadline to submit ten (10) e-prescribe claims in order to avoid a 1% Medicare payment adjustment for all claims in 2012.

The deadline for avoiding a 1.5% Medicare payment adjustment for 2013 is December 31, 2011. In order to avoid this payment adjustment, providers must submit at least 25 e-prescribe claims for service dates January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2011. These claims must be submitted to Medicare by February 24, 2011.
